General Information:
El Timbó Lodge is situated in the Province of Santa Fé on the banks of the San Javierito River, and is able to offer guests the option of Dorado fishing in addition to duck, dove and partridge shooting.
The Shooting:
Duck shooting is perhaps the main activity in this area, and the rice fields in Santa Fé Province are a permanent habitat for the many different duck species of Argentina. The unique grounds, and the extent of water in this great delta of streams, lagoons and marshes, turn this area into a particularly attractive habitat for a wide variety of aquatic animal species.
Guests will be transported to the shooting areas in 4x4 light trucks. Mostly you will be shooting alongside lagoons, from blinds located in the water. Every spot will have decoys set up and each gun will be assisted by a bird-boy who will use typical calls to attract the birds, and who will retrieve the birds.
The dove shooting, takes place during the afternoon, and in this area you will have the chance to shoot hundreds of cartridges per outing. Partridge are shot during the evening, with Britneys and Pointer dogs
For all species of wing shooting, the experienced guides have a fine knowledge of just where and how to find the conditions appropriate for each guest’s preferences.
The Programme:
El Timbó Lodge is located close to the town of Romang, some 700km from Buenos Aires. It is accessible by domestic flights to Santa Fé airport, where members of the staff will be waiting to drive you to the Lodge. Domestic and charter flights can be arranged.
Normally the duck shooting will be scheduled for the early morning. Breakfast is served at 5am and the duck shoot that follows will continue until about 10am. You will then return to the Lodge to have an early but substantial lunch, with time thereafter to relax either by the pool or for a siesta.
At around 3pm you will have the opportunity to shoot for dove and/or partridge until evening.
