Accommodation:

Estancia Acelain at Tandil gives visitors the chance to glimpse the opulent seigniorial lifestyle of the great cattle and grain barons whose manor homes still dot the countryside.  Set in 16th century southern Spain, the origins of the estancia’s imaginative décor, architecture and landscaping are described in the literary masterpiece, The Glory of Don Ramiro, a book written by the present owner’s great-grandfather.  A prodigious collection of Spanish furniture dating from the 11th to 17th centuries still graces the estancia.

Other Activities:

From Acelain a number of other activities are available, such as horseback riding, exploring the 12,000 hectare Acelain estate, guided visits to the city of Tandil, Pejerrey fishing (kingfish), as well as enjoying typical ‘asados’, shopping for local handicrafts and watching gaucho folk dancing.
