Castaway Flyfishing was established in October 2004. Since then it is proud to have been providing a quality service to an increasing number of keen fly fishermen - professionals and novices alike.

The company is owned by Alexander Kennedy, whose flyfishing adventures have taken him to Alaska, Argentina, Bahamas, Belize, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Florida Keys, Honduras, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Seychelles and Venezuela. Through Castaway Flyfishing he is able to share his experience and pleasure of this magnificent sport with others.

Castaway Flyfishing deliberately concentrates on destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America. For most of his professional life Alexander has had a business relationship with Latin America, and has even acted as adviser to the British government on its commercial relationships with the region.

As a result of this experience Castaway Flyfishing Company is able to offer its clients a first class network of local operators and associates.

Over the years Castaway Flyfishing has dedicated time to researching and testing a large variety of fishing destinations. Some of these are world-class fisheries in their own right. Others are more remote or rustic. Some have been discarded because of inadequacy or inconsistency - others because of overblown publicity.

We set high standards for those destinations included within our portfolio; and this we are continually reviewing and expanding in order to offer you the widest possible variety of flyfishing available.

We recognise that there are other fishing operators and outfitters to choose from.  We know and admire them.  We have fished with them.  We know what they offer and we know what fishermen want.

We believe that few organisations are able to offer the one to one attention to each client’s specific needs as we try to do.  We appreciate that the distance that most fishermen will have to travel to reach their ideal destination means that the product must offer true value for money, and our principle aim is to cater for those of you who would like to fish more often than you have traditionally been able to do.

We, and our associates, deal directly with the Guides (or fishing operators) and Accommodation Managers at each of our selected sites.  We are therefore in a position to offer you the most appropriate service for your own particular needs.

A large number of our destinations are relatively unknown and completely unspoilt, but what is known – to our clients at least – is the quality and value of the fishing that these locations offer.  Other destinations of ours are the internationally renowned, highly publicised fisheries, and we are proud to have developed a special relationship with each of these. 

We are continually running ‘Feature Trips’ and these are normally hosted.  However, we will customise any trip to suit your preferred dates, and will be delighted to recommend a combination of destinations to give you the best variety of fishing experience to suit the time available to you.

The only features of our service that are modest are our margins.  And what we provide is the result of the passion that we have for the sport ourselves.
